Experience
After graduating as the valedictorian of my high school class, I attended the University of Scranton, where I earned my bachelor's of science in Neuroscience, with a focus on Nutrition. I'm now studying at chiropractic school. I have enjoyed learning throughout the years of my education, and also discovered that I had the ability to assist others in their learning. Once I realized this ability, I began tutoring, and have now had experience as a tutor in a variety of science subjects, such as anatomy, neuroscience, pathology, and more. I have learned that tutoring is not a matter of giving students the answers to questions, but making the tools available to them, and guiding them towards a better comprehension of the material. They are the ones doing the learning, and I am facilitating that for them. I really feel like I make a difference in the lives of those I have tutored, and their success is extremely rewarding to me. I use different methods when tutoring than many other tutors. I use their most effective learning styles to make our study time as effective and efficient as possible. It's not that different from helping a person in a healthcare scenario. I listen to the symptoms/ struggles, diagnose the problem, and provide options towards solving it.
